The shared shower setup might catch some off guard if privacy is a concern, though it's manageable with the private toilet. The room can feel musty without ventilation, which can be uncomfortable, particularly for sensitive noses. If you're not a fan of noise, be aware that kids playing can disrupt the peace during your stay, and getting to public transport involves a bit of a trek—about 200m to the bus stop, which can feel lengthy in cold weather.

Solo travelers will love it
The owners are incredibly friendly, especially the wife who made the best breakfast concoctions, from homemade tofu hot pot to an assortment of delicious bites every morning. It felt genuine and different from any regular hotel stay, like having a taste of Japan in my own space.
It wasn’t inexpensive, but you get what you pay for, and it was worth every cent.
